SN 1005 is a major restoration by the volunteers at the Western Railway Museum. This a wood-side, steel-frame interurban car built in 1912 by Holman of San Francisco. It traveled between San Francisco and Chico, California. Interurbans are a form of transport now lost. They traveled between cities at speeds up to 90 miles per hour, using electricity from a trolley wire. SN 1005 is nearing completion and will be operational in 2010.
This an Excellent and Beautiful Restoration of this Interurban Trolley Car.and Thank you to all of the people that participated in restoring and who operate this classic car.
